I'm joined today by Mike Legregni, retired Marine & former police officer, current psychonaut, woodworker, and all-around good dude.
Mike came from a pretty messed up background which launched him into the Marine Corps — a path that seemed like a solid way forward until an unfortunate turn of events derailed his career, led to his first brush with suicidal ideation, and left him essentially homeless for a stretch.
After getting his act together, he found himself with a successful career in law enforcement... until another unfortunate turn of events blew that up too, bringing the suicidal ideation back and just generally screwing up his entire life.
Add in life-threatening complications from a routine knee surgery, his wife battling cancer, and a very complicated family situation surrounding his father's death, and yeah — Greg has led quite a life.
My plan was to cover all of that and get into how he began to heal with the help of plant medicine, but we just ran out of time — so you'll have to stay tuned for part 2 (and maybe even part 3...).
You can find Mike @veteranwoodco on Instagram to check out his incredible work.
