Drawing on Daley’s research on political violence, and war and peace in Central Africa and Labianco’s experience in the sector of humanitarian disarmament the discussion moves from the dual goals of humanitarian disarmament to ‘positive’ and ‘negative’ peace, and what a peace agreement means at the local level for communities.
