A conversation with Rita McBride, Artist, Professor and former Director of Kunstakademie Düsseldorf. Rita lives between Los Angeles and Düsseldorf. 

Rita speaks about her early interest in public art, the importance of openness and collaboration in her artistic practice, the influence the teachings of the 60s and 70s had on her, the freedom they provided and her own challenges as a teacher. She shares personal insights and the emotions arising from her everyday life in Los Angeles and gives her honest assessment about the current political situation in the US.
