This seemed like the most reckless thing I could do as an entrepreneur who knows that attention online is as good as currency. It also seemed like if I didn’t do this, taking myself and my business apart, I would never be able to put it together in a way that truly worked. It felt like a risk. The biggest risk I would ever take in my business, that whether I realized it or not, was the only real option I had. Pretend to still be in business, hiding in plain sight, or take some time off to get still, get serious, and get clear about what I was going to do next.
