Waking up in the middle of the night to pee is super common, but it's not normal. In a healthy body system, your body actually down regulates some muscle function in order to promote better sleep and muscle recovery. But if you're not in a parasympathetic state (rest & digest), then your body may not be down regulating the functions it needs to in order to promote full recovery. Cue recurring dreams, sleep walking, snoring, and a few other sleep disorders.
Listen to this episode if you want to:
- Get better sleep
- Optimize the sleep you're getting
- Wake up feeling energized and refreshed
