AUTHOR: Unknown; accredited as a Japanese Fairy tale although the tale originates from the legend of Urashimako (Urashima no ko or Ura no Shimako) recorded in various pieces of literature dating to the 8th century
VERSION: The Golden Book of Fairy Tales, Translated by Marie Ponsot and Illustrated by Adrienne Segur
