Lacking both capital and a tangible fan base, Dan Checkers set out to make folky pop music with his elastic voice, clever lyrics, and a penchant for writing unorthodox melodies as Dan and Drum. A few months after his debut album, Growl Pop, was released it garnered 10's of millions of streams. Now Dan spends his time making personalized songs, and working on his next album "Heavy Mental" debuting later this year.  

We talk about the fear of vulnerability, how to enjoy success, and Dan's run in with the law.
