Scripture: Ephesians 4:17-19; Acts 24:22-26; 17:30-32; Mark 4:24; Luke 8:18
Topic: Repentance
Notes:
- There is a line you can cross, shipwrecked faith, a seared conscience... past feeling- We are responsible to act on what we hear; when we don’t, damage is done- Story of man who started witnessing and found everybody is “saved”- Felix knew right... heard from Paul about righteousness, self control and judgement- A believer has no right to be angry- Over time, after hearing so many times, the sense of imperative action eludes you- There was a time of ignorance before God revealed His Son- We struggle and fall short but God still expects us to perfect holiness and get it right- When you get a touch from God, you will hate the sin you now love- God does not overlook bitterness; sexual sin will send you to hell- Esau’s birthright... wanting present satisfaction more than eternal rewards- Be careful what you hear, what you listen to, how you hear
