Itâs November 9th and on this day in 1934 American astronomer, Carl Sagan was born. Sagan worked for NASA, studied extraterrestrial life, taught as a professor, wrote books, advocated against nuclear weapons, and created and hosted one of the most popular television shows to ever be broadcast on PBS. And in doing all of these things he changed the way most Americans viewed astronomy and scientists.
