the relationship i have with my parents is an ongoing work of love, being first gen and having immigrant parents adds a lot to the equation. ive had to the inner work and put myself in their position and that really changed my view in them; simply humans w/ unresolved trauma. having hard conversation setting boundaries and showing love has been the biggest factors in re-paring the relationship.
