What does Jesus mean in Matthew 12:50 that his brothers, and sisters, and mother are those who "do the will of my Father in heaven?" They are whom God chooses with genuinely contrite & broken hearts, who are intimately connected with HIM who are repentant and forgiven and redeemed and regenerate. Jesus' true family are not those who are family by birth or legal standing. Jesus' true family are those who have the Spirit of God's Son in their hearts. Whose hearts are renewed to depend upon the Father in heaven as a small child depends on a father and cries out to him Abba!Daddy! just as Jesus, the Son of God, does the same.
