Spend some time reflecting and discussing the text from today’s message. Here are some questions to consider.

• Read the passage and note the reason that Luke gives for the parable and note the three people/groups of people in the parable. What is different about each person/group

• How would you define the mission of Jesus? Can you think of any verses/passages that clearly define it for us? • If someone asked you, “for what purpose are we saved?” how would you answer? What passages in Scripture would you point them to?

• Consider the motivation of the faithful servants compared to the unfaithful servant. What motivated each of them to act the way they did while the king was gone? Which of those more closely. resembles your motivation as a Christian?
