How many times have we been in a Capoeira or Samba de Roda where we are using “Palma de Terreiro” and we fall back to “Palma de Bimba”?
Well pay attention and you will see how common this happens, these two ways of clapping in the Roda have their meanings and their specific ways of playing, especially “Palma de Terreiro” from Candomble to Samba de Roda, to many others within many cultural expressions in the Brazilian Culture.
In this episode my brothers Prof. Congo (@congo) and Prof. Spoquete (@Soquete) talked about what we know of these two specific claps, we also mention a third clap that is used in the roda, we talked about how the way we grew up gives so much influence to our understanding of rhythm!
