Look at the most powerful people in the world today. Many of them came from rich or well-connected families, receiving opportunities not available to most of their peers. Elijah didn’t come from a wealthy background, or from a well-known family. Pastor Jeff tells you today that he was just a nobody from nowhere, but when God called him to action, Elijah said “Yes”. If you want to be successful in God’s eyes, it doesn’t matter what you have or who you know, all that matters is your obedience to Him.
