Jesus makes a very strong, but important, point in this text.

Those whose hearts are focused on submission to God's rule will gain riches in heave, the riches of HIS kingdom.

Those whose hearts are focus on their own wealth, status, and possessions will gain the failed treasure of this world ... and nothing more.

One's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.
