Trigger Warning: This episode deals with the suicide attempt made by my guest. If this topic is triggering for you, you may want to skip this episode. For privacy, her voice is disguised
My guest today is Debra. After 19 years of marriage, the death of one child, caring for their other two children- one of whom with a life threatening illness- Debra's husband came home and declared he was in love with his boss and leaving. The cruelty of his actions, his attempt to excuse his behavior by citing the standard cheater's lie of "I never loved you" and "we were only together because of the kids" sent Debra into a mental free fall. She attempted to take her life as a result.
Hear her story detailing the heartbreak and mental struggle she endured. But stay until the end and hear the triumphant part of this Phoenix of a woman's story.
