Pat has to apologize to Alora today because of how he and Aloras mom reacted to Alora telling them that she wanted to run track this spring.
How they responded to Alora being vulnerable and letting them know what she wanted was not ok.
In a bad parental defense Alora has never showed any interest in track or running and so there was confusion. Just because Alora has never shown interest doesn't mean she can't change her mind.
As parents we have to look at how we talk to our kids sometimes and realize how we talk to them can affect them.
