In my work as a life coach, I help others see new ways to look at situations.
I love thought work. Our thoughts are closely related to our feelings and can have a direct impact on our mood and outlook on life. Learning to distinguish between our thoughts and the facts of the situation can yield powerful, even life-changing results.
However, these well-meaning suggestions like “find the bright side” or “count your blessings” are not always appropriate and can fall flat for at least three reasons. So, here are 3 things to take into consideration if you are going to Think Positively Without Kidding Yourself.
1. The Timing
2. The New Thought Isn’t Believable
3. The Circumstance is Not Neutral
