The Fatimid Caliphate regains its footing under the rule of the Armenian viziers Badr Al Jamali and Al Afdal, at the expense of control over the Persian Ismailis, who orient themselves in a new direction under Hasan ibn Sabah. A direction that will lead them to become infamous in Western culture as the Order of the Assassins.
