Our guest today is  functional nutritionist, women’s health expert, and extraordinary Incubator client Sarah Jane Sandy! 

Sarah had a somewhat unusual experience as a new business owner back in the early 2000s: it was actually pretty easy for her from the start. 

She grew up in a family that understood her business niche and had built successful businesses themselves in the holistic wellness space. She started out as a fertility expert inside a holistic  business collective, which made marketing and attracting new clients fairly easy. She had great luck early on with a web designer who built a site for her with excellent SEO and easily drew organic traffic. 

Even though she was a hard worker, she also didn’t really know what was going on in the background of her business. She’d stumbled on a business strategy that was working — but she didn’t realize at the time how or why it was effective. 

In 2020, COVID hit, and she also had a baby. Her life changed dramatically in just a few months. And the economy and tech industry were also changing rapidly. Because Sarah wasn’t familiar with the inner workings of her business, she didn’t know how to respond to the shift in her energy, her focus, and the strategic needs of her business. 

By 2021, her business was in trouble. 

Today Sarah is sitting down with guest host Indira to share her story of hitting a major slump and what she transformed about her approach that has transformed her business in just two years.
