From how they are eating, hosting online dinner parties and sourcing supplements, to their favourite ways to sweat, to the things they miss the most about pre-COVID physical proximity. “The reason I loved teaching in a studio was because people were coming for something more than just the forms, just the breathing practices, just the meditation — those were always available to them online. They were coming for community, they were coming for connection, they were coming for that sense of accountability. There was something else about a class — I really miss people in the flesh. I really miss teaching”. Both Matt and Steph have experienced the range of emotions related to the pandemic and they talk through how they are coping with the day-to-day and leading through the stages of uncertainty.“My consistent practice is to practice what I preach, and so finding ways to recover faster, finding ways to be more responsible — that is the practice that I am in — and it’s nice to be walking the talk”.
