Today, we are going to be talking with Paul Klein. I’ve known Paul and admired his work for several years. He is the kind of person who has unstoppable energy and enthusiasm for the work that he does.
As many of us remember, 2009 marked the peak of the recession. Layoffs were rampant and the economy was tanking. At this time, Paul had a family to support and a hefty mortgage to go along with it. However, it was at this exact time that he chose to leave a safe, secure, and successful 18-year career.
Even though he was at the top of his position, had no commute, and had full benefits, retirement, and a 6-figure salary, Paul left to start his own consulting business. Sure, he was experiencing a very successful career, but he felt unfulfilled and miserable and just couldn't take it anymore.
Following the principles of virtual mentors such as Dan Miller and others, he decided he had to create his own way. He made the decision to figure it out and quit relying on others. He didn't make excuses or blame his employer, the system, or others. He looked inward and said, "I am going to figure this out and make it work!" Tune in to hear all about his journey.
