The First Airplane Flight (1903) is one of the most important moments in aviation history. On December 17, 1903, Wilbur and Orville Wright made the first successful powered, controlled and sustained flight of a heavier-than-air aircraft. The Wright Brothers’ aircraft, the “Flyer”, flew for 12 seconds and covered a distance of 120 feet at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina.
