How did Jesus live His life of miracles, resist all temptation, and abide in perfect obedience to the will of His Father? For many Christians, the answer is: “Because Jesus is God!” Although it is a glorious truth that Jesus Christ is indeed the Second Person of the Trinity, how do we account for Scripture that commands us to be like Him, and follow in His steps? Because we do not have a divine nature and are not God, is it fair for biblical writers to command us to live like Christ?
