John Carter isn’t taking the normal route to becoming a country music star. While his star is still rising, you won’t find him bussing tables or working construction. During his eleven years in the Marine Corp, John taught himself to play the guitar while working as a helicopter mechanic. These days, John performs many nights each week but still keeps his day job as an airplane mechanic at BNA Nashville International Airport until he can concentrate full time on a country career. Kelly headed out to his hangar just off the runway to see what inspires him.
