We follow David as he runs from his son Absalom, but his journey doesn't go very smoothly. A crazed old man hurls insults and rocks his direction and he takes both on the chin, stating that maybe God wanted him to endure this persecution. But what was his attitude- one of self-pity (like Eeyore), or one of steadfastness (like the Apostle Paul)?
