Today, I would like to tell you about Adult's Day in Japan.

Every year, the second Monday of January is Adult's Day, which is a national holiday.

In Japan, 20 years old is considered to be the age of adulthood, so there is a coming-of-age ceremony held in each municipality to celebrate those who have turned 20.

Women often wear furisode(振袖）, a traditional Japanese kimono（着物）, on this day, which makes the atmosphere very festive.

I want to wear furisode too.

By the way, it was decided that the age of adulthood will be changed from 20 to 18 this April.

What will happen to the coming-of-age ceremony next year has yet to be decided.
