‘Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten.’ – Lilo and Stitch (2002)
In this episode of the Goddess of Technology podcast, we’re examining intergenerational trauma and healthy coping strategies allowing us to establish a more secure and satisfying future for ourselves moving forward, whilst replacing limiting belief systems of the past.
‘Intergenerational trauma’ can be defined as psychological and physiological trauma that’s caused to you as an individual – as the result of your older relatives’ and your ancestors’ coping strategies with their own traumatic experience.
I’d like to clarify that I’m not a practicing psychologist although I, amongst other programs, graduated in psychology. This podcast episode is based on my personal experience and on my friends’ experience.
