The Greeks have a LONG, HUGE, MASSIVE, more than ancient civilization. The Greeks are one of those rare civilizations that have survived reasonably in-tact for thousands of years. It has a heritage so many others can only envy.

So, who are these Greeks? Are the modern Greeks the same civilization as the one that started all those thousands of years ago?

You may be surprised how much the west has copied from the Greeks. You may be even more surprised that most westerners try to ignore almost 2000 years of Grek history including the history of the Eastern Roman or Byzantine Empire.
