Continuing on looking back at some of our most popular features of the last year. Jerrod Niemann had his first number one hit as a writer on ‘Good Ride Cowboy,’ which brought Garth Brooks out of his retirement in 2005 to sing it as a tribute to his good friend the late Chris LeDoux. Since then, Jerrod has been working hard, pounding the pavement between gigs and writing sessions. That work is finally paying off with the release of his album ‘Judge Jerrod and the Hung Jury,’ and the lead single went all the way to number one. We caught up with Jerrod at a party to celebrate his hit ‘Lover, Lover. Jerrod has been selected as one of the performers for the Country Radio Seminar’s New Faces showcase in March. This event will put him in front of even more radio executives from around the world.
