"Project Hail Mary", directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller and adapted from the novel by Andy Weir, sees Ryan Gosling waking up in space with amnesia and slowly realising he’s somehow responsible for saving Earth.

He spends most of the film explaining increasingly terrifying physics to himself like he forgot to revise.

It then turns into a surprisingly wholesome intergalactic buddy comedy with a rock crab.
