Beyond mathematics and computing, Alan Turing made significant benefactions to biology, particularly through his work on morphogenesis — the process by which living organisms develop their shape and patterns. 
In 1952, Turing published a groundbreaking paper named “ The Chemical Base of Morphogenesis, ” in which he proposed a fine model explaining how patterns similar as stripes, spots, and gyrations crop naturally during the development of shops and creatures.
