Our scripture reading comes from John 1:1-4
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.
1.The beginning
2.The Word
3.Creation
God really is His word and accepting His word is accepting Him into our lives. His promises, His commands and His precepts. The Bible tells us everything we need to know about God, it is through the truth of each word in the Bible that we get to understand the nature, characteristics of God. Not only does the Word of God help us understand God, in the process of getting to know God we also find ourselves in Him.
Creation-Genesis 1:26-28
26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
27 So God created mankind in his own image,
in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them.
28 God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”
