🔥[12-04] Boost your website's engagement by removing clutter and confusion

Listen Later

David Feinberg: I have a concept I've discussed before. I've sketched some of it out on a mock website: www.arkwork.earth I'd like to come away with some questions to ask myself to better refine the vision and maybe begin some steps and outreach to make it happen at an appropriate scale and scope to experiment.

  • Make your homepage instantly communicate value so visitors grasp what this space offers before scrolling, triggering curiosity and deeper exploration.
  • Define the audience of your website: Creatives that want a place to escape all the distractions, so they can work in a focused, purpose-driven, relaxing environment.
  • Clarify whether your site is a mood board, pitch deck, or retreat sales page so collaborators understand how to engage with you meaningfully.
  • You are creating a challenge network: a place to share your ideas, bring people in to challenge your ideas and value their feedback. Make it clear by having a separate page to get feedback rather than a contact page.
  • Rewrite your principles into simple, relatable statements with enough context so they resonate instead of reading as poetic word salad.
  • Celebrate the fact that publishing a rough draft publicly accelerates clarity, iteration, and feedback.
