In 2014, Bogomir Doringer began to film club dance floors from a bird’s-eye perspective. Since then he has made an intense study of the club as a social biotope and dance as a deeply-rooted human instinct.
The Conversation Piece took place in context of the MAK exhibition The Fest. Between Representation and Revolt (14.12.2022—7.5.2023).

Conversation Pieces can be understood as an impetus to make widespread pictorial worlds and narratives visible and to critically question them by talking about them together.
