As an entrepreneur, it can be challenging to take a break. You are constantly thinking about how to grow your business and the workload. Becoming an entrepreneur can become overwhelming at times. Trust me, and I know this first hand. It's easy to neglect yourself and your well-being because you become consumed in the pursuit of success. Although taking a break may seem like the last thing you can do right now, it is crucial to getting work done effectively and success as an entrepreneur.
Today we are chatting with my personal friend Sarah Dawn, attorney and business coach, and consultant. After building her business, Sarah found herself prioritizing work over everything else she cared about. She wasn't giving herself the rest or intentional care she needed, which ultimately led her to become burnt out.
Not taking a break and being there every day for your business is what entrepreneurship looks like to many people, but here's the truth. Most people don’t want that lifestyle. Of course, as an entrepreneur, you need to put the work in, but you don't have to put yourself in this position of working 20+ hours every day to be successful. In today's episode, Sarah will be chatting about how she was able to re-learn what works best for her and let herself enjoy everything she created professionally by taking a break from her business.
