#12 - Good Fiction : After The Breakup
What do you do when a near 5 year relationship ends? Patrick Grace, Alex Wollyung, and Jacob Luke Hite of Good Fiction played their final show together in October of 2019. A month and a week later the guys met up for the first time since that show and we talked about it.
A lot of the podcast we goofed around, but we did talk a lot about the importance and influence of social media both in terms of its effects on us, but also in how to use it as a tool in a healthy and productive way. Jake and I got into a little side discussion where he teaches me about zoomer culture, memes, etc. Pretty useful, actually.
Patrick and Alex have been part of the band from its origin, but Jakes late youthful addition, in many ways, energized the band and pushed them into high gear for their finale. Pat has since moved to Boston to start his own new project on music production, Jake is finishing his education in music (though he hopes to be picked up onto something else before he finishes), and Alex has his own ideas about his future. But the trio greeted eachother like family at the holidays and it's pretty clear they'll be lifelong friends. Though each is setting out on a new adventure, they have a sturdy platform to launch from that they all built together.
