Ep 12 TINA - CONSULTANT/DANCER/YOUTUBER/CREATOR - CHINESE-AUSTRALIAN (@ttinaat)

Tina is a Chinese-Australian that immigrated to Australia with her parents when she was 8. She is a consultant full time and a content creator (Youtube) on the side as a hobby.

In today’s episode, I talked to Tina about her passion topic, our relationships to our parents as children of Asian poc immigrants. We specifically talked about how Diaspora Asians can have a better relationship with their immigrant parents? For context, Tina feels that she has a pretty good relationship with her parents and would love to share her thoughts on how to do so and help others that are trying to improve their relationships with their own parents.

Is it through listening and doing everything they tell you to do? Is it to try to explain your side of the story to them in the best way possible? OR, is it just to treat your parents like regular human beings that had lives before kids and try to understand where they are coming from? Listen and you will find out!

We also talked about Tina’s creative pursuits with dancing and also now creating content on Youtube. She is an aspiring lifestyle Youtuber trying to make all sorts of different content and learning the craft. It is very cool, you should definitely check her out and subscribe to her channel!
