We visited Jim Fleeting, an early mentor of Tom's, in his shop in Manchester. Jim is renowned for his repair work, but he also builds a cracking guitar. His approach to his craft is very much 'anyone can learn anything as long as they work hard enough', and after deciding to enroll in an lutherie evening class several years ago, he proved his own philosophy despite never having touched a woodworking tool beforehand.
