On this episode of Tiny Conversations I talk with Toronto City Councillor Kristyn Wong-Tam. Councillor Wong-Tam is a city builder, lover of Toronto, and advocate for pedestrian spaces. She recently helped spearhead the launch of Open Streets TO – an event where 5 kilometres of major streets in Toronto are shut down for half a day.
In this episode Councillor Wong-Tam discusses why she thinks open spaces, ones where citizens can be active and engaged, are so important and the roadblocks she and organizers have faced in making this happen.
