Karan developed the Deep Water Horizon device at 16 years old

 

He went through the process of finding mentors and resources

At times confused about the long-term implication

Discovered that the short term oppurtunity was to grow and develop gain new skill sets

Did not consider the project on where it could take him but rather what can he learn from this oppurtunity

Eventually reached success at the international science fair
