#12 U.S. DOD Activates Civil Reserve Air Fleet (CRAF) | What Is It?

Listen Later

In today's episode I am talking about the CRAF program within the United States. The Civil Reserve Air Fleet (CRAF) was created following the Berlin Airlift in 1952. The CRAF is designed to provide the Department of Defense (DOD) with commercial aircraft requirements in emergencies when the need for airlift exceeds the capability of military aircraft. Currently CRAF is activated now, for Operation Allies Refuge. As always we have our Aviation Lingo and Aviation News segments. Hope you learn something new and enjoy the show!
