In this episode, we speak about our parents — as human beings who carried responsibilities heavier than we ever realised. The sleepless nights. The financial pressure. The silent stress. The dreams they put on hold so we could chase ours. So much of who we are today stands on sacrifices we didn’t even see.
But we also talk about something we don’t say enough… They’re growing old. And that’s okay.
They’re human. They’re navigating life at a stage we haven’t reached yet. Just like we’re figuring out adulthood for the first time, they’re figuring out ageing for the first time.
The same hands that held us steady might tremble one day. The same voices that guided us might soften. The same strength we relied on may not always be there. And just like us, they’re human.
They make mistakes. They have flaws. They get tired. They’re learning life for the first time too — just at a different stage.
Sometimes we expect perfection from the very people who gave us everything in the first place, no?
This episode is about shifting perspective - treating our parents with patience instead of pride. With softness instead of ego. With mercy instead of harshness. It’s about understanding their true status in our lives — irreplaceable.
One day, the house will feel quieter. The calls will stop coming. The seat at the table will be empty.
So, pls don't wait for that day to appreciate them.
Speak gently. Forgive quickly. Spend time. Make the call. Hug them longer. Pray for them.
Because no one will ever love you the way your parents do.
