Women often wear furisode (long-sleeved kimono) to attend coming-of-age ceremonies, and furisode is a kimono for young women that is considered to be a formal attire.

On coming-of-age day, when many twenty-year-old women can be seen wearing gorgeous and colorful kimonos, the city becomes a glamorous place as a Japanese tradition.
