The simple answer to that is YES. Statistics show that stories are more memorable to the human brain and that customers and clients want more stories from brands and companies.  Whether you share your story or that of someone else impacted by your work, it’s the personal connection piece that others want to know. 

But one of the biggest hurdles of storytelling in business – especially when building your own business – is how people receive or perceive your story. While you can’t control how others think, what you can control is your narrative and the decision about whether sharing your story is worth the potential criticism.
