The Parable of the Sower highlights a divide between two groups of people: the crowd (outsiders) and the disciples (insiders). The parables function as a way to make the divide clear. The biggest evidence that one is an insider and not an outsider is whether or not you stay with Jesus as a disciple. The crowd comes, hears the parable, and then goes away without wanting more. The disciples have a deeper thirst and a greater hunger to know more so they remain at the feet of Jesus. Come and hear how the Mystery of the Kingdom fits with the Mystery of Christmas.
