Luke 20:27-47
Pastor Seth Norris
Spend some time reflecting and discussing the text from today’s message.
Here are some questions to consider:
• Luke’s gospel has not talked about the Sadducees, so you will probably need to do a little research as you enter the text.
• The Sadducees denied the resurrection and yet asked Jesus a question about the resurrection. Why? What were they after?
• Why does Jesus bring the Scribes back into the conversation? What are the differences/similarities between the Sadducee beliefs and Pharisee beliefs?
• Apply the thinking and way of life that we find in the Sadducees and Pharisees to some modern lifestyles and ways of thinking.
• How does the Lordship of Christ and the hope of heaven contrast with what the Sadducees and the Pharisees had to offer?
