Mary reveals the grace God prepared from the beginning for the Mother of His Son.In Guadalupe, she shows herself as Mother of all peoples, gathering every culture into God’s embrace. “Am I not here, I who am your mother?” — the promise that anchors our faith in her loving care.

This homily was actually preached on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception rather than that of Our Lady of Guadalupe, at Holy Trinity Church in Beaverton Oregon on the 8th day of December in the year 2025. I apologize both to those at Holy Trinity who may already have heard this homily, as well as to those who listen to my previous episode on the Immaculate Conception and will recognize many of the same themes and points repeated. The nature of this project and the necessity of publishing something daily will lead to these occasional imperfections.
