Join me in The Red Treehouse as I read you a classic horror short story--The Most Dangerous Game by Richard Connell.
First published in 1924, The Most Dangerous Game by Richard Connell, has been called “the most popular short story ever written in English.” This classic story introduces us to a big-game hunter who reaches what appears to be a deserted island. Except, it isn’t—and eventually, he finds himself squarely in the crosshairs as the big-game hunter becomes the hunted.
Now, 100 years old, this classic story has been adapted many times—and has the distinction of possibly being referenced by the infamous Zodiac Killer who terrorized California in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
I'll tell this story in two parts.
So, sit back, turn down the lights, pull up the covers, and pay close attention as I read The Most Dangerous Game.
