Like the disciples on the road to Emmaus and Saint Joseph before the Nativity, we know what it is to say, “We had hoped.” Christ meets us not after the darkness has passed, but within disappointment, loss, and shattered expectations. When we open the door to Him, hopelessness gives way to resurrection, and sorrow is transformed into joy.
Isaiah 7:10-14 | Romans 1:1-7 | Matthew 1:18-24
